Your mission

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure. This includes managing servers, networks, and security systems to ensure high availability and performance. The role involves proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting both on-premises and cloud-based systems. The IT Systems Administrator collaborates with IT and business teams to implement solutions that align with organizational goals and security standards.

Your roles and responsibilities:

Administration, configuration, and optimization of the existing system landscape (Windows servers, Active Directory, Exchange, EntraID, DNS, DHCP, CA etc.)
Administration, configuration, and optimization of the virtualization landscape (VM Ware)
Support and administration of various IT systems to ensure stable and secure operation (i.e. Cisco call manager, Firewall, VPN, backup etc.)
User support, problem analysis and troubleshooting as well as documenting the troubleshooting steps in internal knowledge database
Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Participation and management of varied IT projects and involvement in the optimization of the IT infrastructure as well as development and implementation of new IT solutions in the company

A team-first approach, willing to step in where needed to support the broader Technology Operations function

Your qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
Experience in systems administration or IT infrastructure roles
Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, and Office 365
Experience with VMware vCenter, virtual machines, and storage technologies
Experience with backup solutions, endpoint management, and cloud platforms
Experience with network technologies and concepts (CISCO, Fortinet)
Knowledge of Desktop as a Service (DaaS) solutions (Citrix) and Mobile device management (MDM) tools (MS Intune) is a plus
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server is a plus
Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus
Bilingual ability (speak, read, write) English and German
